LSL Player of the Week Named Monday, August 6th , 1962 Rich Pakula of Amarillo was a smashing success this week, winning the Player of the Week Award in the Lone Star Baseball League. He hit everything the pitchers threw at him, hammering them for a .360 batting average, going 9 for 25 with 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and scoring 6 times. Pakula is presently hitting at a .281 pace with 8 home runs, 26 RBIs and has scored 38 times. |
