Mike Cook Wins LSL Trophy Monday, August 20th , 1962 Like a machine, Mike Cook hit the baseball with brutal efficiency last week, gaining himself the Lone Star Baseball League Player of the Week title for that stretch. The Austin Senators center fielder rapped out a .440 average with 11 hits in 25 at-bats, no home runs, 6 runs batted in and 3 runs scored. This year Cook has 11 home runs and a .298 batting average. |
