The 1962 Pitcher of the Year Award in the Lone Star Baseball League has been given to Ramon Juarez of the San Antonio Defenders.

The Defenders ace worked 204.1 innings this season, crafting a 13-8 record and a 2.64 ERA in 25 starts. Juarez collected 189 strikeouts while walking 108 and limiting opponents to a .200 batting average.

He received 6 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Rich Golden of the Tulsa Boomers finished second in voting, while Gary Webb of the San Antonio Defenders finished third.
