Lookouts Get Zilch in 5-0 Loss to Capitals, Brief Friday, August 24th , 1962 Mike Brief kept the Chattanooga Lookouts hitters from doing any damage at Montgomery AL minor league park today. Chattanooga could only muster 3 hits and take 2 walks against the right-handed Brief, who controlled them throughout the game as Montgomery took the contest, 5-0. Brief added 6 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Brief told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time." |
