Week's Top Performer Honored by BRL Monday, August 6th , 1962 The Player of the Week has been announced by the Blue Ridge Baseball League. The honor went to Don Keough, left fielder of the Durham Brightleafs. He burned up the league with a .346 average to win the award. Keough went 9-for-26 for the week, totaled 4 home runs with 13 RBIs and scored 9 times. So far this season Keough is batting .307 with 28 home runs. |
