Allen Granger Blanks Winston-Salem, 2-0

Allen Granger of the Salem Collegians was cool and collected on the mound, leading his club to a shutout victory over the Winston-Salem Twins, 2-0.
"He was mixing his pitches real well and keeping his composure on the mound," Salem manager said later. "When Allen does that, good things happen."
The right-hander had 7 strikeouts, 1 walk and allowed 6 hits in the win.
On his stats sheet for the year Granger shows a 11-6 record, 25 starts, 187 innings, 147 strikeouts and a 2.94 ERA.
