Panama City Helpless Against Lee, Lose 1-0 Friday, June 9th , 1961 It wasn't easy but Chet Lee made it look that way. Lee silenced the Panama City Pelicans, 1-0, in a Lakeland Pilots triumph at Panama City FL minor league park today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Lee said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 4 walks and 3 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." His record this season is 9-4 in 16 starts and Lee has a 3.11 ERA. |
