Super Mound Work Earns Best Player Award Monday, August 20th , 1962 Steve Gilmore of the Sarasota Anglers received the Gulf Coast Baseball League Player of the Week award today after a stellar week on the mound. He finished off last week with 2 wins, an ERA of 0.00 and 12 strikeouts in 12.2 innings. This year Gilmore has posted a record of 11 wins and 11 losses with a 2.96 ERA. He has appeared in 28 games and struck out 122 in 146 innings. |
