Hall Stops Dubuque
Tuesday, August 7th , 1962
Davenport Quads pitcher Stewart Hall did his job to perfection today, blanking the Dubuque Dairymen at Dubuque IA minor league park. He scattered 4 hits while striking out 8 in the 2-0 shutout.
"All I did was not allow any runs," he joked after the game. "I mean, technically, that's what they pay me to do, right?"
This year Hall has fashioned a 4-1 mark, 2.06 ERA and pitched 48 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .243 against him and he has logged 43 strikeouts.
