Howington Brings Home IBL Batter of Month Honor Tuesday, August 1st , 1961 Pat Howington is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Keokuk center fielder joined that select company when the Iowa Baseball League announced the results of July's voting. Howington totaled 26 hits, 19 walks, 1 home run, 6 RBIs and 11 runs scored last month to put together a .295 batting average and .436 on-base percentage. This year Howington is hitting .294 with 5 home runs. |
