Garcia Spectacular in 6-0 Win Friday, June 22nd , 1962 The York Terriers whipped the Olean Oilers 6-0 at York PA minor league park today behind a masterful outing from starter Jose Garcia. Garcia shut out the Oilers on 3 hits and 4 walks. He registered 11 strikeouts over 9 innings. "Velocity felt good, everything felt good today," a smiling Garcia said later. "Command felt good, conditions felt good, glove felt good, hat felt good. Seriously everything." This year Garcia has recorded a 9-3 mark. In 18 starts he has fanned 152 batters in 123.2 innings with a 2.33 ERA. |
