Monday, August 20th , 1962
Geneva Robins center fielder Ron Palmer had a great time at the plate last week, running up some sensational numbers that no one else could match. Few people were surprised today when the Pennsylvania-New York Baseball League named him Player of the Week.
Palmer banged out 7 hits in 19 at-bats on the way to a .368 batting average. He also racked up no home runs, 1 RBIs and 1 run scored.
This season Palmer is batting .266 with 14 home runs. His totals include 56 RBIs and 46 runs scored.
