The Explorers dropped blue—which they had worn continuously since 1922—from their uniforms this year, while re-installing their old logo and adopting brown as their identifying color (they had previously worn brown in the 1890’s and 1910’s). The uniform design they adopted this season has remained essentially untouched since.

This year’s two expansion teams, Milwaukee and Twin Cities, adopted color combinations (green and gold for the Dairymen, blue and purple for the Northmen) that had heretofore never appeared on major league uniforms. Purple had last been worn in 1906, by St. Louis.
