The Philadelphia Quakers topped the Cincinnati Packers by the score of 5-2 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the World's Series today. The largest share of the credit went to player of the game and Philadelphia starter Antony Jacobson, who threw 9 innings of 7-hit ball in the win.

Frenchy Hagan aided the Philadelphia cause with a 2-run triple in the top of the eighth. For the game, the third baseman went 1-4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI.

"It feels a lot better to be tied than to be behind, even if it is only one game," Philadelphia manager said.

The next game is set to be played Friday. Slated to start are Bert Apple for the Cincinnati Packers and Byron Kneeland for the the Philadelphia Quakers.
