Raucous North Bend Field Crowd Propels Packers to 8-3 Victory; Series Tied at 3
The Cincinnati Packers and the Philadelphia Quakers will take the World's Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Packers beat the Quakers 8-3 at North Bend Field to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Cincinnati right-hander Quilla Hogg was named player of the game in the win after he threw 9 innings allowing 3 runs.

In the bottom of the second, with the game tied, the Quakers allowed the Packers to take a 4-2 lead on a base hit and Philadelphia error.

"I really like what we did out there today," Godfrey said after the game.

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at North Bend Field in Cincinnati. Slated to start are Byron Kneeland for the Philadelphia Quakers and Bert Apple for the the Cincinnati Packers.
