Quakers Hammered by Lyon, Drop Game 6 to Packers
The Cincinnati Packers and the Philadelphia Quakers will take the World's Series to a decisive 7th game. The Packers got a dramatic walk-off victory in a must-win situation today to beat the Quakers 8-7 at North Bend Field and force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Cincinnati first baseman Prince Lyon was named player of the game in the win after he was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Lyon hit a changeup from Byron Kneeland for a run-scoring double. The Packers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Lyon told reporters after the game.

Game 7 is set to be played tomorrow. Slated to start are Bernhard Green for the Philadelphia Quakers and Royal Ricketts for the the Cincinnati Packers.
