Packers Win World's Series
The Cincinnati Packers pulled out all the stops tonight, winning the World's Series in a hard-fought series with the Philadelphia Quakers.

It was a seesaw affair, but with a 6-5 victory at North Bend Field, Cincinnati lay claim to the franchise's 6th championship.

"There's no denying we faced a tough opponent," said Edmund Godfrey. "But as the old saying goes, 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going,' and that's what we did today."

The champs finished the regular season 99-59 and claimed first place in the National Base Ball League Western Division.

A victory parade is set to be schedule in Cincinnati in the days to come.
