Almost There: Chicago On
Cusp of LCS Triumph After 2-0 Win
|
When he got to Chicago,
Dave Keen
was just worrying about staying on the roster.
Today, he was starring in the League Championship
Series.
The 20-year-old rookie right-hander shut out the
host Philadelphia
Quakers 2-0 in a remarkable performance at
Penn's Landing Park today. With the win, the Traders
took a 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 League Championship
Series.
Keen delivered a quality start for Chicago. The 5'
10" right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 9
innings of work.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some
opportunities," said Chicago manager Winston Tinker.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Penn's
Landing Park. The scheduled starters for the game
are Aart
MacDonald for the Chicago Traders and Alex
Geary for the the Philadelphia Quakers.
