Cusp of WS Triumph After 3-2 Win

The Boston
Terriers moved to within one game of the Round
3 today, downing the visiting Chicago
Traders at Atlantic Avenue Grounds by a score
of 3-2. Terriers right-hander Clint
Schultz was named player of the game after a
strong outing in which he threw 9 innings of 6-hit
ball. The win gives the Terriers a 3-1 advantage in
the best-of-7 World Series.
Jim Spencer,
the Boston left fielder, contributed a 2-run single
in the bottom of the first inning to make the score
2-0, Terriers. For the game, Spencer went 2 for 3
with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some
opportunities," said Boston manager Clark Anderson.
Game 5 is scheduled for tomorrow at Atlantic Avenue
Grounds. The scheduled starters for the game are Ken
Amison for the Chicago Traders and Gene
Tiberi for the the Boston Terriers.
