Lords Win to Extend Series Lead to 2-0
When he got to Baltimore, Gomer Cooper was just worrying about staying on the roster. Today, he was starring in the World Series.

The 22-year-old rookie right-hander shut out the host Detroit Wolverines 2-0 in a remarkable performance at Wolverine Field today. With the win, the Lords took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 World Series.

In his 100-pitch effort, Cooper allowed no earned runs on 3 hits over 9 innings. He walked 2 and struck out 3.
