Kelley, Lords Sink
Wolverines Again in Game 3 |
The Baltimore
Lords moved to within one game of the Round 3
today, downing the visiting Detroit
Wolverines at Seton Hill Stadium by a score of
5-4. Lords left fielder Ben
Kelley was named player of the game after he
was 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and
scoring once. The win gives the Lords a 3-0
advantage in the best-of-7 World Series.
Kelley was 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 4
RBI and scoring once against the Wolverines. With
the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, he
hit a sacrifice fly that scored 1 and put Baltimore
in front, 5-4.
"Things aren't going great right now," Detroit
manager Ben Heuring said. "But you don't need me to
tell you that."
Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow at Seton Hill
Stadium. Slated to start are Tommy
Johnson for Detroit and Joe
Sherman for Baltimore.
