League Championship Series Goes the Distance, Detroit Prevails
A classic and dramatic League Championship Series has wrapped up, with the Detroit Wolverines outlasting the New York Knickerbockers to advance to the World Series.

Detroit won the final game by a score of 7-6 and took the series 4-3.

"We can enjoy this one tonight, but then it's back to work and thinking about the next win," said Detroit first baseman Robert Bolen, whose standout performance earned him the nod as series MVP.

Bolen hit .333 with a .429 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Detroit Wolverines will play against the Chicago Hawks in the next round. Chicago won their series against the New York Empires 4 games to 2. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
