Almost There: Cincinnati
On Cusp of LCS Triumph After 6-4 Win
|
The Cincinnati
Packers moved to within one game of the World
Series today, downing the visiting Cleveland
Bobcats at Roman Arena by a score of 6-4.
Packers third baseman Allan
Houston did some major damage. He was 1-2 with
a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove
in 3. The win gives the Packers a 3-1 advantage in
the best-of-7 League Championship Series.
Humberto
Abdala dealt the Bobcats a blow in the bottom
of the first. Batting with the bases loaded and
Cincinnati leading 1-0, Abdala, who is a two-time
All-Star, hit a 1-0 fastball for a 2-run single.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win,"
Abdala said after the game.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Roman
Arena in Cincinnati.
