Raucous Lakefront Stadium Crowd Propels Bobcats to 3-1 Victory; Series Tied at 3
The Cleveland Bobcats and the Cincinnati Packers will take the League Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Bobcats beat the Packers 3-1 at Lakefront Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Cleveland right-hander Vern Gould had a big role in the win. He threw 6.0 innings allowing 1 runs.

Harold Batkin, the Cleveland shortstop, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 2-1, Bobcats. For the game, Batkin went 1 for 3 with a walk.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Batkin.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Lakefront Stadium in Cleveland.
