Packers Prevail, as League Championship Series Goes to the Wire
With a narrow 4-3 series win, the Cincinnati Packers have eliminated the Cleveland Bobcats and are League Championship Series winners.

"We tried not to look ahead to the World Series, but we thought we'd be there for sure," said right fielder Barry Sheridan, who was named series MVP.

Cincinnati won the final game by a score of 13-1, wrapping it up at Lakefront Stadium.

Sheridan's big series saw him hit .450 with a .522 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Cincinnati Packers will play against the San Francisco Seagulls in the next round. San Francisco won their series against the Montreal Habitants 4 games to 1. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
