Kansas City Win to Pull Even With Cleveland
|
Kansas City starter Ron Maisner turned in an exceptional performance at Lakefront Stadium today to force the Bulls and the Cleveland Bobcats into a decisive Game 7. The right-handed Maisner threw 9.0 innings of shutout ball in a must-win situation against Cleveland, leading the way for the 5-0 Kansas City win. The winner of the series will advance to the World Series.
Cleveland had little success against Maisner and his splitter. Maisner tossed 143 pitches over 9 innings for the Bulls.
Maisner called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Lakefront Stadium in Cleveland.
