Toronto Win to Pull Even With Cleveland
Behind a bravura effort from starter Ben Immel, the Toronto Hurons topped the Cleveland Bobcats by the score of 5-1 today and got their first win in the 1963 World Series. Immel threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the Hurons. The win moves Toronto into a 1-1 tie with Cleveland.

Toronto relied on the hitting of Grammercy Locke to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put the Hurons on top, 3-0. For the game, Locke had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Locke told the Toronto Bulletin.

The next game is set to be played for Monday, October 14th , 1963 at Dominion Field in Toronto.
