Wolverines Clip Seagulls 3-2 in DS Contest
Tim Stambaugh pitched well, but the San Francisco Seagulls lost anyway, falling 3-2 in extra innings to the Detroit Wolverines at Wolverine Field. With the win, Detroit tied the best-of-7 Divisional Series at 1 games apiece. Stambaugh was effective, giving the Seagulls 9 innings and allowing 2 runs.

With the game on the line, Booker Lee came to bat in the bottom of the 15th. And the Detroit center fielder came through, cracking a run-scoring single off Scot Benjamin, the San Francisco pitcher.

Lee described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.

Game 3 is scheduled for Friday at Mission Field in San Francisco.
