Wolverines Move on to League Championship Series
The sweet swing of Duane Simmons has led his team through the Divisional Round.

The Detroit Wolverines star earned series MVP honors as his club downed the San Francisco Seagulls to advance to the League Championship Series.

The Wolverines won the final game at Wolverine Field by a score of 14-2 and the series 4-2.

"I'm seeing the ball well and happy to contribute to a win," said Simmons. "I hope it continues for the rest of the playoffs."

For the series, Simmons hit .333 with a .462 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 7 runs.

The Detroit Wolverines don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Montreal Habitants - Dallas Wranglers series. Montreal leads the series 3 games to 2. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Round finishes.
