Seagulls Prevail, as League Championship Series Goes to the Wire
The fans in San Francisco are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in Montreal.

The San Francisco Seagulls finished off the Montreal Habitants 4-3 in the deciding game of the League Championship Series played at LaSalle Stadium.

They took the series 4-3 and will now head to the World Series.

For his standout play, San Francisco third baseman Scott Wagner was voted the series' Most Valuable Player.

He batted .292, drove in 5 runs and scored 7 to lead his club to victory.

"We could never really figure out how to pitch to Wagner and that doomed us," said Habitants manager Michel Alexandre Cauchon. "Hats off to San Francisco, though. That was a great series."

The San Francisco Seagulls don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the San Diego Captains - Chicago Traders series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
