Seagulls Clip Captains, 3-2, in WS Contest

The San Francisco Seagulls have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading San Diego Captains, winning, 3-2, at Mission Field. Seagulls right-hander Reggie Wright threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Seagulls to 2-1 in the best-of-7 World Series.
Grammercy Locke had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the seventh for San Francisco. He came through with a 2-run single to put San Francisco in front, 3-2.
"Reggie showed what he's made of," said San Francisco manager Al Borie.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Mission Field in San Francisco.
