Wranglers Edge Seagulls, 1-0, to Open DR
|
Barry Gilmore and the Dallas Wranglers opened the Divisional Round in brilliant fashion, traveling to San Francisco and shutting out the host Seagulls at Mission Field, 1-0, to secure an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Gilmore, the Wranglers right-hander, threw 8.1 innings of shutout ball.
Gilmore allowed no runs on 6 hits over 8.1 innings for the Wranglers. He walked 2 and struck out 7.
"Feels good to get the job done," Gilmore said after the game.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Mission Field in San Francisco.
