Drillers Improve to 42-35 with 8-6 Win
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Houston Drillers and Toronto Hurons.

The Houston Drillers defeated the Toronto Hurons, 8-6. First Baseman Armando Amador deserved a large share of the credit. Amador was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Drillers. Bill Switzer earned the save, his 10th in 12 tries.

Amador contributed in the bottom of the third. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Houston get the win.

"Ah, the sweet taste of victory," Amador crowed after the game.

The 'W' lifts Houston's record to 42-35.
