Wranglers Deal Emeralds 5-2 Loss
|
Dallas turned a good effort from starter Joaquin Hernandez into a win over the Seattle Emeralds at Puget Field. The final score was 5-2. Hernandez picked up the win for Dallas, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Getting the save was Frank Dunn, his 17th.
Ron Rodgers helped out the Dallas cause in the top of the first inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 3.
Said Seattle manager Mark Velez: "They just got the better of us."
