Bluebirds Absorb 7-4 Loss at Blockbuster Stadium
|
The Los Angeles Blockbusters finished off the Brooklyn Bluebirds, 7-4. Much of the credit belonged to right fielder Oscar Gonzalez. Gonzalez went 3-4 with 3 singles for the Blockbusters. Picking up the save was Fred Wild, his 15th. The Blockbusters, at 38-55, sit in 5th place in the National Baseball League Western Division.
In the bottom of the fifth, Los Angeles catcher Dan Hamlyn had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Hamlyn stroked a run-scoring single to left-center. It made the score 5-3, Los Angeles. For the game, he was 2-4 with 2 singles.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Gonzalez told the Los Angeles Daily.
