Los Angeles Absorbs 5-2 Loss to New York

New York and Los Angeles duked it out and the Empires came out victorious.
The New York Empires cut down the Los Angeles Pobladores by the score of 5-2, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Al Castro. Castro went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs for the Empires. With the win, the Empires sit at 48-45.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Roger Hickey? The New York center fielder had a run-scoring ground out in the top of the second inning to put the Empires on top, 2-0. For the game, Hickey had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
