Explorers Pin 5-1 Loss on Milwaukee
|
The St. Louis Explorers converted a terrific effort from starter Paul Schuler into a win over the Milwaukee Dairymen at Corps of Discovery Stadium. The Explorers won the game by a final score of 5-1. Schuler yielded 1 run over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 8. His record improves to 4-5. St. Louis is now 39-56, while Milwaukee is 52-44.
Gary Parker helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Explorers.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Parker.
