Hurons Losing Streak at 5 After Extra-Inning Loss to Generals
|
The Atlanta Generals had to overcome a fine effort from Toronto pitcher Joe Scott to grab a narrow 2-1 win at Atlantic Station Field. Scott went 10 innings and allowed 1 run. The 6th-place Generals have won 5 straight.
The Generals procured the win, in large part because of right fielder Buck DeFalco. In the bottom of the 13th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Toronto manager Jim Burns.
