Northmen Lose Again, 5-2, to Seagulls
|
The San Francisco Seagulls picked up a win at Mission Field, dropping the Twin Cities Northmen, 5-2. Pete Ragsdale, who is tied for 4th in the ABL with a 0.92 WHIP, was the difference-maker. The last-place Northmen have lost 8 straight games.
John Cobb dealt the Northmen a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and San Francisco leading 3-2, Cobb, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1969 draft, hit a first pitch sinker for a run-scoring single.
"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Jason Gudim, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
