Seagulls Use Late Surge to Win
Behind an impressive start by Dennis Fulton, San Francisco beat Houston, 4-2. The win was credited to 26-year old right-handed pitcher Dave Maughan in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Jose Rodriguez took the loss. The win brings the Seagulls to 7-4, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

San Francisco took a 4-2 lead on Bob Raab's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Raab hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Houston pitcher Jose Rodriguez visibly frustrated.

"I just tried to put the barrel on it," said Raab.
