Underwood Lifts Knickerbockers to 7-2 Win
|
The New York Knickerbockers beat the Cincinnati Packers, 7-2, at Knickerbocker Stadium. New York right fielder Bob Underwood led the way. He went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs. Dave Torre earned the win to go to 10-5. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 11 strikeouts in 8 innings of work. New York bumps their record to 61-55 with the win.
