Explorers Dump Los Angeles, 6-5, to Win 4th in a Row
Los Angeles got a terrific game from second baseman Norm Parsons. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to St. Louis, 6-5. Parsons was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 4. Marty Clark earned his 6th save, after closing out the game. The 6th-place Explorers have won 4 in a row.

St. Louis right fielder Gary Parker contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 120th hit of the season and put the Explorers ahead, 6-4.

"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Parker.
