Drillers Prevail, 2-1, Over Twin Cities
The Houston Drillers rode a solid performance from 29-year-old starting pitcher Syed Farooqi to a win, beating the Twin Cities Northmen, 2-1, at Sam Houston Field. At 64-53, the Drillers claim third place in the American Baseball League Western Division.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Drillers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when right fielder Jackie Frost hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Joe Gibson and made the score 2-0, Drillers. Frost was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles.

"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Drillers," said Frost.
