Dairymen Fall Short, 2-1, at St. Louis
|
The St. Louis Explorers beat the Milwaukee Dairymen, 2-1, at Corps of Discovery Stadium. Starting pitcher Ramon Juarez was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. With the victory, the Explorers upped their record to 69-52.
Freddie Boone was 1-2 with a double for St. Louis. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Tom Rockliffe. It was his 49th RBI of the season.
"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said Boone.
