Bobcats Win, 5-4, Versus Quakers
|
Though he had a terrific game, Tim Hunt could not prevent his team, the Philadelphia Quakers, from absorbing a loss. Cleveland won the game, 5-4. Hunt went 2 for 4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winning streak has now reached 6 games for Cleveland.
The Bobcats got a big at-bat from left fielder Phil Chirico. For the game, Chirico went 1-5 with a triple, while adding 3 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing triple. His 6th triple of the season gave Cleveland a 4-3 lead.
"We had situations where we should have got some runs in, but we didn't get the runs in," said losing manager Jeff Green.
