Explorers Drop Contest, 4-0, to Milwaukee
|
The Milwaukee Dairymen went home winners at Corps of Discovery Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Ken Brown. Brown stifled the St. Louis Explorers, enabling Milwaukee to grab the 4-0 win. Today's win puts Milwaukee at 54-68, while St. Louis falls to 69-54.
Milwaukee used a well-timed hit by Cliff Bragg to capture the win. The shortstop socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Dairymen ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
Bragg attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
