Eagles Take Down Blockbusters, 4-3
The Washington Eagles topped the Los Angeles Blockbusters by a score of 4-3 in 14 innings. Leading the way was shortstop Gary Long. Long was 5 for 7 with a home run, a triple, and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Eagles. Washington now sits at 57-72, while Los Angeles falls to 57-71.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 14th. With two out, Long hit a curveball from Tucker Atwood for a solo home run. The Eagles, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Sometimes you get the ball in the right spot and it goes," said Long.
