Knickerbockers Lose By a Run at Brooklyn
Flatbush Park was the site of a tense game between the New York Knickerbockers and Brooklyn Bluebirds.

The Brooklyn Bluebirds got a marvelous performance from pitcher Jorge Sandoval. The right-hander kept the New York offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 3-2 Brooklyn victory at Flatbush Park. Picking up the save was Bob Hill, his 1st.

Brooklyn took a 3-2 lead on John Seidler's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Seidler hit in the bottom of the seventh, left New York pitcher Jack Forbes visibly frustrated.

"I went out and just tried to do my job," said Sandoval.

The loss drops the Knickerbockers to 1-1.
