Knickerbockers Pick Up 8-6 Win Against St. Louis
New York and St. Louis duked it out and the Knickerbockers came out victorious.

The 8-6 New York win over St. Louis was due largely to Jeff Madsen. The Knickerbockers first baseman was 3-3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The defeat makes St. Louis 66-71.

With New York leading 6-4 in the bottom of the seventh, Madsen hit a cutter from Dave Maughan for a 2-run double. It was his 16th double of the season and put the Knickerbockers ahead, 8-4.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Madsen.
