Dairymen Prevail, 8-7, Over Los Angeles
Larry Morford was a major contributor to the 8-7 Milwaukee win over Los Angeles. The Dairymen first baseman was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 3 runs. Danny Guerra picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-7. Cardell Franklin, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1969 draft, was tagged with the loss. The Dairymen raised their record to 56-103.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the eighth, with the game tied, Barry Gunn was at the plate when Milwaukee scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Dairymen to go in front, 8-7.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Morford, "but we got it done."
