Banda Excels in 8-4 Pittsburgh Win
The Pittsburgh Industrials knocked off the New York Knickerbockers, 8-4, at Allegheny Field. Luis Banda was a big reason Pittsburgh won. The catcher was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. With the win, Pittsburgh pushed its record to 85-76.

Pittsburgh pitcher Jerry Zaruba contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a sinker to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 17th hit of the season and put the Industrials ahead, 1-0.

"I had pretty good command out there," said Zaruba.
