Pittsburgh and Washington duked it out and the Industrials came out victorious.

The Pittsburgh Industrials picked up a win at Monument Field, downing the Washington Eagles, 7-4. On the mound for Pittsburgh was right-hander Jerry Zaruba, who played a pivotal role in the win. Pittsburgh has now won 4 straight, while the Eagles have lost 3 in a row.

With two out in the top of the eighth, Bill May had a game-changing hit. The Industrials second baseman slammed a 2-run single off Alex Fonseca, making the score 7-4, Pittsburgh.

"Jerry had good arm action, good stuff," said Pittsburgh manager Vincent Wicker.
